I used to doodle a lot as a little kid, but from middle school on, I started expressing my creativity through music and theater instead. It wasn't until I was 24 that I picked up a pencil again and took my very first art class. Since then, I've had a fantastic journey, but I know it's far from over!

I don't normally write journals, but, I gotta express how baffled I am. I just finished my summer semester, and I had exchanged contact info with a cool guy from one of my classes. He was an foreign student; his accent was fairly heavy, and we called him by a nickname because his full name was too hard to pronounce. So when a guy sends me a skype message asking to be my friend, and I asked "do I know you," I believed him when he said, "I'm your friend, [foreign name that could be abbreviated with the same nickname]."
So this guy calls, and since I'd never talked to my friend on the phone before, I couldn't really tell it wasn't the same pers

^_^ It seems it's that time of the semester all too soon, huh! I'm not looking forward to it, not that the little tests I'll have in art classes will be tough, but it's these final projects that are kicking my butt.
What I wouldn't give for something concrete and "right or wrong" like a math test or something, but art is so wishy-washy--what if my instructors hate the projects I make?
