it's a game-vitation

so, this was my idea for the portfolio show invitation for our graduating class. I didn't want a boring, normal invitation that you look at once, then shove in a drawer until the day after the event when you remember it "should be soon." I wanted to do something a little more interactive. I took it to work, and a coworker and i actually sat down and played. I assembled the die, we chose our players and T_T I lost. at my own game.

Our class voted on whose invitation would be printed for the event, and I didn't win. I didn't even vote for myself. ^_^ I voted for who, coincidentally, won with a standard, albeit clever, postcard.

oh, yeah, I forgot to mention that each of the players is a remarkably close likeness of the students in our department based off the mii character designs on the wii. I used the flash file on joystiq.com to make the basic faces, then captured the images, seriously edited them in photoshop and created my own mii-style bodies. ^_^ You can make your own (half-assed) mii here: [link]
