Anise

Character concept for an RPG I'm working on.

Anise has all the insecurities and turmoil of a normal 14-year-old girl plus the strain of being aware of the pain of everyone around her. She struggles with feelings of guilt, secretly believing that rather than only sensing the pain of others, she is really creating the pain for them, causing everyone around her to suffer. Because of this, she has become obsessively apologetic, and works incredibly hard to help other people.

Battles are extremely difficult for Anise, because she has to not only heal her allies, but fight the desire to heal the pain of their enemies. Whenever anyone dies, she takes it as a personal failure, and often punishes herself through various means in atonement.
